Future Extensions
To extend our project, our group plans to carbon-sensitize the TiO2 nanotubes. Through our literature, this would allow for a smaller band-gap so that visible light largely available from our surroundings can be used to fuel the hydrogen generation process. We also wish to investigate in novel TiO2 nanostructures in search of the best candidate for practical application. Lastly, we wish to create a working prototype that can be functional in reactors used in the commercial world.
